Founded in June 1962, the society has been in existence for nearly 40 years. It is very friendly and informal in nature and comprises people engaged in modelling railways in most scales including N, HO, OO and O. As well as modelling railways, the society holds video shows, an annual modelling contest, social events such as dinners and visits to prototype railways. The society is looking for new members, particularly young members who will form the backbone of the society in coming years. 

The society meets every Wednesday night in its  Erith clubrooms.
